Watching Home

As someone who has moved out of my home country, it is but natural to miss a number of things from back home. Family and friends will definitely be on top of this list. Nothing can beat that as that is closest to the heart. Probably next close to the heart is the stomach... so food is definitely one of these 'missable' items. But thanks to a number of Asian stores, there is some good chance to have a taste of what is 'native' to the taste buds.

I realized that another thing that may easily be missed are the TV shows. Whatever your show preference is, there is surely something that you hope would follow television screens wherever you are.

I guess the good news is that today's technology allows us to get a glimpse of our favorite shows. There are a lot of ways available now whereby people may be able to watch a variety of shows coming from different parts of the world. Getting on board these options is a sure way to get a front row seat to things you love.

What Olympic Sport Are You?

The 2008 Olympics ended last Sunday after a couple of weeks of celebrations and competitions. My family really had a great time watching the games. Our favorite sports were the Individual Swimming, Synchronized Swimming, Gymnastics and the Volleyball competitions. Congratulations to all the winners! And to all other atheletes, you all did a great job.
So what Olympic sport am I? I'm a ... Badminton

You are quite talented but not very appreciated.
You are detail oriented, very focused, and agile.
You are happy to forsake glory for success in something you truly love.

Friends

Thanks to my friends Joy and Shiela for sharing this tag with me.

We need friends for many reasons, all throughout the season.
We need friends to comfort us when we are sad,
and to have fun with us when we are glad.
We need friends to give us good advice,
We need someone we can count on, and treat us nice.
We need friends to remember us one we have passed
sharing memories that will always last.

Spread the poem of friendship.

Google Search Your Name

Okay, I was tagged by my dear friend Gracey. I opened the said link to her post. Read it then tried it using Google. That was fun! Yeah! Following the instructions given I tried to google my name RoseLLe with the 'needs' word. I was surprised because I can't find anything, no nothing interesting at all. So I decided to put my other blogs name instead - Reflexes.

The rules are simple, google your first name with needs behind it.

[your name here] needs

And here are the reuslts...

reflexes needs medical investigation
reflexes needs to be considered
reflexes needs to be significantly greater
reflexes needs to be studied
reflexes needs to be used by the examiner
reflexes needs less neural processing
reflexes needs nutrition
reflexes needs to be absent
reflexes needs to be stimulated
reflexes needs a lot of work

I hope you can try too...Christine.

Wow! I Didn't Know That!

I am reading a very light and entertaining book authored by Robyn Martins called FUN FACTS ABOUT THE BIBLE. It is indeed packed with facts, trivial and fun activities like crossword puzzles, quizzes, word search, match up and a lot more. All supported with bible verses. So if you need ideas to use for fellowships and gatherings this is definitely one good source.

Let’s Get Trivial!
Solomon had 700 wives and 300 concubines. Anniversaries must have been a problem.

I didn’t know that! Did you?

Chocolate Mousse

This well presented chocolate mousse was served to us in a meal during our hotel stay in Melbourne last June. The Chocolate cup with the chocolate mousse in it was placed in a rectangular plate with blueberries and strawberries cut in half and served with cream and jam on the side. It does really look very inviting.

Talbingo in Winter

This beautiful scenery welcomes us as we enter the very neat town of Talbingo. This is where we stayed in Snowy Mountains. Just about 30 minutes drive to Selwyn Snowfields.

The road you see in this picture will actually lead you to Talbingo Dam, another great place (a must see) you shouldn’t miss when you’re in the town.

Jounama Pond (dam)

I was so fascinated of the reflection of the mountains in the dark calm water.
